Challenge and Engineering Solution

How we designed and built a trilingual academic platform combining institutional rigor, a searchable publication catalog, and automated seminar workflows.

About the Association and Scope

Project context: The New Israel Association of Sciences (NIAS, registered Israeli non-profit R.A. 580813079 in Netanya) unites scholars, researchers, and engineers across 15 scientific departments, hosts regular online seminars via ZOOM, and publishes an interdisciplinary scientific journal (with the Institute of Science and Technology in Netanya as a collective member continuing its scientific archive since 1991). Our task was to design, build, and host a fast, authoritative trilingual portal in Hebrew, Russian, and English.

15 Scientific Departments and Scholar Registry

Academic architecture: We engineered a 114-page WordPress architecture featuring dedicated trilingual pages for all 15 scientific departments (including Department No. 15 for Intelligent Information Technologies and Information Security headed by Ilia Shuliak), individual profiles for department heads and editorial board members, and standardized academic affiliation rules.

Searchable Publication Catalog and Journal

Archive and publishing: We built a live searchable catalog containing 123 full-text scientific works and monographs plus 705 seminar records, complete with department filtering and one-click bibliographic citation, alongside the interdisciplinary scientific journal section (Volumes I to VII).

Seminar Automation, Accessibility, and Managed Hosting

Infrastructure and compliance: Hosted on Israsky managed servers, the portal meets Israeli Accessibility Standard 5568 (WCAG 2.1 AA) with a minimum contrast ratio of 5.37:1 and self-hosted typography with zero third-party trackers, plus an ICS seminar calendar feed, daily solar activity forecast synchronization, and an online membership application.
